A few years ago, I had the extraordinary opportunity to visit the Piaget boutique in Paris as part of a jewellery-intensive programme—an experience that continues to shape my journey in the world of fine jewellery.

Walking through the doors of Piaget felt like entering a sanctuary of elegance, precision, and innovation. The boutique was not just a retail space—it was a celebration of heritage and creativity. Every corner whispered stories of exceptional craftsmanship, and every piece I encountered spoke of time-honoured traditions infused with modern ingenuity.
As part of the programme, we explored the intricate techniques behind Piaget’s iconic jewellery and timepieces. From the fluid lines of their Possession rings to the technical brilliance of their ultra-thin Altiplano watches, it was a hands-on masterclass in artistry. I gained an entirely new perspective on the intersection of design, technology, and storytelling in haute horology.
What stood out to me the most was Piaget’s relentless pursuit of perfection—how every gem is set with intention, every movement engineered with purpose. It wasn’t just about aesthetics; it was about pushing boundaries while honouring legacy.
This experience didn’t just expand my technical knowledge—it deepened my appreciation for the poetic side of jewellery making. It reminded me that behind every luxurious piece lies a world of passion, discipline, and innovation.
Even today, whether I’m designing, teaching, or storytelling, I carry the essence of that Parisian visit with me—a commitment to excellence and a reverence for the craftsmanship that defines true luxury.
